Club History

Burnham United Juniors Football Club was formed in 1967 and has been providing football opportunities for local youngsters for over 56 years.

The club were one of the first in the South West to achieve the prestigious FA Charter Standard status, which recognised clubs that are run in the way expected by The FA. This includes having qualified coaches for all age groups, child protection policies and coaches and officials who have been checked via the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). The FA Accredited Club scheme replaced Chartered Standard and the Club are fully FA Accredited.

The club aims to provide a safe, structured and fun environment for the children and were delighted to again receive formal recognition and approval from The FA. To further ensure the children's safety the club has a large number of qualified first aiders and players are fully insured for matches and training.

Our home ground is at Burnham Road Playing Fields, Cassis Close, Burnham-on-Sea and boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16 are welcome to play. We have regular training sessions and play games in the Woodspring Junior Football League and the Taunton Youth League.
