Club History


Burnham United Juniors Football Club was formed in 1967 and has been providing football opportunities for local youngsters for over 50 years.

In 2003 the club achieved the prestigious FA Charter Standard status, which recognises clubs that are run in the way expected by The FA. This includes having qualified coaches for all age groups, child protection policies and coaches and officials who have been checked via the Criminal Records Bureau. The award has recently been renewed.

The club aims to provide a safe, structured and fun environment for the children and were delighted to receive formal recognition and approval from The FA To further ensure the children's safety the club has 15 qualified first aiders and players are fully insured for matches and training.

In 2005 the club won the Somerset FA Chartered Standard Club Of The Year award, which was a proud achievement for everyone involved.

Our home ground is at Cassis Close Playing Fields in Burnham-on-Sea and boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 18 are welcome to play.
